Cape May, NJ Bed and Breakfast Accommodations
In her youth Cape May was known as “Up North, Down South” due to her being a favorite destination of Southern gentry before the Civil War. During this period Cape May initiated the architectural and social trends of mid-1800’s southern cities. In 1879 a great fire swept over Cape May, taking many of the grand structures built during this era of Southern influence.
Fortunately, one mansion survived the fire—and several ensuing years of neglect. Today it has received a complete restoration: after an absence of more than a century, genuine Southern hospitality and antebellum style have returned to the island of Cape May.
All of the rooms at our Cape May, NJ bed and breakfast feature wireless internet, cable TV and private bathrooms. Breakfast is included with regular-rate, non-group stays.
The adult environment of the Inn provides a break for those parents who seek time away from the day to day responsibilities of raising small children. We try to encourage this environment by welcoming children 10 and older.
