Cape May Wine Trail

February 14th, 2016 – Various Wineries
Spend Valentine’s Day afternoon visiting the best of Cape May’s wineries. Guests will enjoy lunch at one of the fine restaurants in Cape May and be shuttled around town via the MAC trolley. Sherlock Holmes Weekend

March 18-20, 2016
One of the Mid-Atlantic Center’s most popular activities, each Sherlock Holmes Weekend features an originally-written mystery and search for clues across Cape May.  Participate in the self-guided search alone, or enjoy coffee, dessert and lunch at gatherings throughout the weekend. If you miss this event in March, plan to come in November when this event comes back. Only 100 tickets are sold, so get your tickets early.

Annual Farm to Table Dinner

Each year the Cape May Forum presents a special farm-to-table dinner made entirely with ingredients grown at Beach Plum Farm, Creation Organic Farms, and other local sources.

The Emlen Physick Estate, located just down the street from Southern Mansion, becomes a free-to-attend marketplace with handmade items from across the Northeast.  This is part of a series of craft shows sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities.

Armed Forces Day Ceremony at the World War II Lookout Tower

May 21, 2016– Sunset Boulevard in Lower Township
Free to attend, Cape May’s World War II Lookout Tower will be the site of a tribute to men and women in our country’s military service.

Crafts and Antiques for Memorial Day

June 4-5, 2016 – Historic Cold Spring Village
Historic Cold Spring Village brings the time of “homespun” living back to vivid life with authentic buildings and performers.  Take a guided tour and check out their special discounts during the sampler weekend.

36th Annual South Jersey Shark Tournament

June 8-11, 2016 – South Jersey Marina
Anglers and boats of all kinds visit Cape May’s South Jersey Arena to participate in the South Jersey Shark Tournament, the season’s first big-game fishing competition.

Victorian Family Fair

June 11, 2016 – Emlen Physick Estate
Join in a Victorian-themed fair held at the Emlen Physick Estate.  This family-friendly day of activities is free to attend, and includes live musical performances, crafts and living history characters.  It all makes a great way to introduce children to history while keeping it fun!

Military Timeline Weekend

June 18-19, 2016 – Historic Cold Spring Village
Historic conflicts ranging from the English Hundred Years War through the Korean War are explored in exhibitions at Historic Cold Spring Village.

Cape May Hops Festival

June 25, 2016
Kick off the summer brews, blues and everyone’s favorite BBQ. This is an all-day event that will have local beer on tap, live music and plenty of food vendors serving BBQ. It’s a family friendly event so be sure to bring the whole crew.

29th Annual Cape May Quilt & Fiber Arts Show

June 25-26, 2016– Historic Cold Spring Village
Historic Cold Spring Village’s annual Quilt Show has steadily grown to include many other forms of fiber orts altogether.  Visitors can also try their hand at knitting, wool dyeing, sheep shearing and more.

Teddy Bear Tea Party

June 26, 2016 – Emlen Physick Estate
This lunch was designed with children in mind: they can bring their own teddy bears to the Physick Estate’s Carriage House Café and Tearoom for a kid-friendly lunch, music, storytelling, goody bags and more!  Exclusive Cape May Teddy Bear Company bears and outfits will be available for purchase at the Carriage House Galley Shop.

Shakespeare at the Estate

July 2016 (Specific dates to be announced) – Emlen Physick Estate
Comedy of Errors is a classic Shakespeare farce of mistaken identity and witty language, based around two pairs of identical twins.  Watch it get taken to a whole new level by the players of the REV Theatre on the Emlen Physick Estate’s outdoor stage.

12th Annual Celtic Festival

The Historic Cold Spring Village hosts a celebration of the Celtic tradition with music, crafts, beer and other festivities.

Cape May Craft Beer & Crab Festival

August 6, 2016 – Emlen Physick Estate
Craft beer and crabs are a tasty combination Cape May has been serving up for three years now.  Savor some of the area’s finest offerings and take in the music, old-fashioned Victorian circus, and other events during this day of festivities!

National Lighthouse Day at the Cape May Lighthouse

August 7, 2016 – Cape May Lighthouse
A landmark of Cape May is celebrated with a nautical music, storytelling and a pirate invasion.  Admission to the grounds is free!

Classic Car Show & Cruise

August 13-14, 2016 – Historic Cold Spring Village
This site of historical enactments and preservation gets an update over the weekend of August 15 and 16: a classic car show will be taking place from 11am-3pm each day!

Mid-Atlantic $500,000

August 21-26, 2016 – Canyon Club Marina
Also known as the “Mother of All Marlin Tournaments,” The Mid-Atlantic $500,000 brings top-class marlin and tuna fishers to the Cape May area for a cash purse of over a million dollars.  Keep your eyes out to watch the competition and join in the festivities!

20th Annual Cape May Food & Wine Celebration

September 10-18, 2016
Now in its 20th year, the Cape May Food & Wine Celebration is a must-do for just about any visitor.  It has a schedule of events that’s big enough: a Beer Tasting Dinner, Gourmet Brunch Walk and Chocolate Lovers Feast are just a few of the many delicacies that wait to be sampled!

September 10-11, 2016 – Historic Cold Spring Village
Witness a re-enactment of the American Revolution in a town specially preserved to recreate the atmosphere of times long past.

Civil War Weekend

September 17-18, 2016 – Historic Cold Spring Village
Civil War Weekend is one of the most popular and longest running events at Historic Cold Spring Village.  Stop by between 9am and 5pm to see the historic reenactment, including demonstrations on various parts of army work and life!

Harvest Festival Crafts & Antiques Show

Today the Emlen Physick Estate, a historic Victorian building from 1879, becomes a site for crafts and antiques in Cape May: from 10am to 4pm, the Estate will host vendors on its lawn.

Holiday Preview Weekend

Cape May’s Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities will be hosting a number of winter events, including trolley rides and historical tours. You can get your own Christmas in Cape May started right at their tree-lighting ceremony, taking place at 7pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016 during the Holiday Preview Weekend!
