Spring/Summer
It’s no secret, springtime in Cape May is beautiful! With new floral blooms filling our gardens, the trees budding, and birds chirping, spring in Cape May makes for a stunning backdrop to any wedding. Summer at Southern Mansion is another popular time to have your wedding when everything is in full bloom. The trees have filled out, the grass is green, and our award-winning gardens are bursting with color. Spring and summer are our most popular times to host your wedding in our gardens. We are able to hold the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, however, the louder music and dancing will be held inside one of our ballrooms.
And have no fear, the Southern Mansion is always open to welcome your special wedding ceremony inside in case the rain comes uninvited. Our luxurious Victorian Ballroom will be an elegant place to create great memories for you and your guests!
Fall
As you start to dream about pumpkin spice, cozy sweaters, colorful fall foliage, and comfortable temperatures, what would be better than having a fall wedding in Cape May? In the fall, our beautiful grounds are decked out with seasonal mums and decorative pumpkins, with all the beauty of the harvest season. Weddings are still held outside and of course, can be moved indoors if inclement weather appears.
Winter
It might surprise some, but winter weddings have been on the rise over the past several years. The winter season tends to offer fewer crowds, reduced rates on venues and hotels, and the pristine beauty of the white snow adds a natural elegance to any wedding photo.
