Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center

Since 1987, the Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center are the forerunner of exploring the waters and wildlife of the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Their tours detail the importance of conservating the local aquatic ecosystem, along with catching the sites of the whale population.

They provide two types of trips for whale watching, one in the morning and a following tour in the afternoon. The AM whale, dolphin, and bird watching tour offer complimentary pastries and beverages. Starting at 10 AM, the cruise sets out from the Cape May Inlet and explores the beachfront. This tour also sails by historical landmarks around the area and provides detailed narration.

The afternoon tour starts at 1:30 PM and lasts three hours. The experience provides a great educational experience and gives hands-on learning with a “touch tank” filled with local sea creatures. The naturalists on board are also available for one-on-one interactions, ready for any questions about marine biology.
