Angelina and Joe were a true pleasure to work with. They united their destinies in marriage on Friday, April 13, 2012. They were so kind to share their amazing love story and their wedding experience with us.
HOW WE MET
We met through old friends. Do you remember how you were when you were 15/16 ladies? BOY CRAZY. I wasn’t, well… I was… but crazy for one boy. He really put all the others to shame. I spent about a year trying to reel my man in until finally on April, 23, 2006 he asked me… “Will you be my girl?” I will never forget that day. He took me by surprise and swept me off my feet. He proves to me every day that you can fall in love over and over with the same person.
THE PROPOSAL
I was not expecting it! With that said, it was amazing and everything I had ever hoped it would be. We were in Atlantic City and I had gone down before hand to decorate the room with rose petals, and wait for my man to arrive. When he did he was so surprised and appreciative of what I had done, but we had to go right away. He had a present for me, and it could not wait another minute! So we got ready and took a cab to the other side of the city… to the ocean, my favorite place to be in the whole world. I took off my heels and we ran down to the water together, we enjoyed the city’s glow on the ocean but not for long. The wind was blowing hard and whipping sand into our faces, we decided to go back to the boardwalk. So I start running back towards the boardwalk when I heard Joe call my name twice “Angel!” “Angel!”… I turned around to see the man of my dreams down on one knee. The city lights lit up his handsome face and I sprint back into his arms. As he put that Beautiful rock on my left hand, I cried of course, but I just could not believe that this amazing person was now my fiancé, and we would soon be planning our wedding together.
THE WEDDING
We searched high and low for the perfect place to get married. We went all up and down the Jersey coast looking for the perfect venue close to the ocean. In Cape May alone I think we visited about 6 places! When my mother in law called The Southern Mansion the women on the other end of the phone assured her that “This is not your typical wedding venue.” We decided that maybe that was what we needed because nothing else was satisfying my taste for originality. I walked through those doors and I remember pinching my mom’s arm. From the turquoise walls to the leopard rugs, the whole building was a work of art. I could picture my wedding here; I fell in love with the Southern Mansion. The day of was absolutely flawless, I get choked up just thinking about it. I was so blessed. Andreea really helped pull everything together and the staff was amazing. The Southern Mansion is really an ideal place to be married. I even had a couple people come up to me to tell me that their cousin, sister, or friend was going to be married next year and they could hardly wait to tell them about the beautiful Southern Mansion. It was truly amazing. Thank you So much to Andreea and the staff for making my day amazing, smooth, and everything I could have ever asked for.
