Historic Cold Spring Village
Step back in time to the “homespun age” and learn more about a day in the life of villagers living in South Jersey at the historic Cold Spring Village. The open-air living history museum is set on more than 30 acres, where visitors can explore 27 restored antique buildings, gardens, and the working farm. Perfect for the entire family to enjoy, there are interactive, educational, and hands-on-activities for all ages.
For the adults, visit their onsite brewery, the Cold Spring Brewery. Housed inside a restored English-style Cape May country barn, the brewery pours a variety of IPAs, lagers, and porters, Thursdays through Sundays.
The Wildwoods
About 15 minutes north of Cape May is the Wildwoods area. Best known for its boardwalk with amusement parks, Morey’s Piers, variety of restaurants, and the old time 1950s “doo wop” style. Wildwoods is home to four different piers with three of the best rollercoasters along the East Coast, plus waterparks, and of course shops and arcades. To appreciate the full 1950s flare, be sure to visit the Doo Wop Museum.
Museum of Cape May County
Honoring the history of Cape May county, the Museum of Cape May County is worth a visit. The museum is located inside three distinct buildings, the 1704 Colonial period home, the 1830 Federal Period addition, and the 1780 barn. Offering tours, rotating exhibits, and lectures, there is always something happening!
Ocean City
Further north up the shore is Ocean City. This lively seaside town features a long boardwalk, eight miles of coastline and beaches, a state park, fishing, and surfing. The boardwalk is the hub of Ocean City with a variety of shops, restaurants, surf shops, and the famous Playland’s Castaway Cove amusement park.
